New Delhi, June 23, 2008 : The silver jubilee celebrations of the 1983 Cricket World cup kicked off on Sunday. Indian cricket board felicitated the members of the winning team at a ceremony in New Delhi. Sharad Pawar, President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India hoped that the younger players would emulate the 1983 heroes. Each player of the winning team was presented with 2.5 million rupees in the star-studded ceremony.
