Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer says capital Vienna is well prepared for Euro 2008. Austrian capital Vienna, with a population of 1.5 million, is one of four cities in the country preparing to host Euro 2008. Seven games will be held at the city's Ernst-Happel Stadium, including the final which will take place on June 29. The Ernst-Happel Stadium, which has the capacity to hold up to 50,000 fans, has been graded by UEFA as a five-star venue. This summer will not be the first time a major championship has been held at the stadium. Named after the late Austrian footballer and national team coach Ernst Happel, the stadium was the venue for the UEFA Champions League final in 1994/95. Only minor renovation work was required to bring Vienna's stadium up to UEFA's standard. This included the extension of one of the underground lines out to the stadium making travel to and from games easier for fans.
