The allowance has stayed the same for several years now -- 40p per mile for cars - when the price of petrol has risen from an average 60.9p per litre in 1998 to currently 112.9p per litre. http://www.petrolprices.com/ We are one of many companies who have hundreds of employees working off site and as a result need to drive long distances in their own vehicles.
