The parents of a newborn being celebrated as a miracle baby because her mother underwent back-to-back surgeries, before and after the infant's birth, returned home to Grande Prairie, Alta., on Saturday. The baby's first name is Miracle, and her mom, 36-year-old Roxanne Follett, says it's fitting, given the events surrounding the birth last week at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. On Jan. 24, doctors first delivered Follett's premature baby by caesarean section. Moments later, the new mother began eight hours of open-heart surgery to repair a dangerous tear in her aorta.
