"The election of the next President of the United States should not be by the national media, it should be by Iowa" --Democratic Presidential candidate Bill Richardson New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson's goal in Thursday's Iowa caucuses is to finish in the top three among Democratic Presidential candidates. To do so, he'll probably need to eclipse either Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or John Edwards. In the latest Des Moines Register Poll Richardson is a distant fourth --- 14 to 17 percentage points behind his better known opponents. The UpTake's Rodger Routh takes us inside the Richardson campaign where supporters are training on caucus techniques that might allow their candidate to finish in the top three. Rodger Routh also reports: "The air was electric with excitement and folks were charged up after Bill spoke. Many in the crowd of people have decided on Richardson as their man and wanted one last look to reassure them of their choice. People were not disappointed".
