Anna Chan: In southern India an elephant suddenly became violent and ran amok, trampling and goring people at a local temple. The animal was eventually tranquillized. The animal was taking part in a religious festival in India's southern Kerala state when it ran amok. The enraged elephant tore through the grounds of the Kootalmanikyam temple, attacking anything that got in its way. Two more people were killed, including this man: trampled to death in just seconds. Vets eventually managed to tranquillize the animal....
