Cheers to the start of the Euro 2008 football championship in a few weeks. Schlaegl brewery in Austria has created a new beer just for football lovers. It's not the official tipple of Euro 2008, but "Fan Lager" is produced along with two other breweries. The master brewer had the unusual challenge of creating a low alcohol beer which will appeal to football fans: SOUNDBITE: Reinhard Bayer, Master Brewer, saying (German): "We've brewed a light beer which doesn't have a high alcohol content, it's 4.8 percent. It's hops-based, which means it is more of a bitter or meaty beer." But it's not just the flavour that's been specially created for the European football championship taking place in Austria and Switzerland in June. The bottles are packaged with the colours of the 16 nations competing. But those who want to toast their team to victory have little time to waste. The beer can only be distributed in one area of Austria for three months. Joanna Partridge, Reuters COMPANIES...
