Sheriff's deputies have released security video of a grocery store shoplifter who ran over two people while making his getaway. It happened April 4 at about 5:20 p.m. at the Albertson's at 20600 108th Avenue SW, east of Kent. The King County Sheriff's Office says the suspect was followed to his car by store security after he was seen shoplifting several items. The man got into his car, which was already running, and had a woman in the passenger seat. As the security officer approached, deputies say the suspect quickly backed up to get out of the parking stall and hit the officer in the process. A customer walking through the lot was also hit by the car as it was backing up and was knocked to the ground. The 37-year-old security guard and the customer, a 45-year-old Kent woman, suffered minor injuries. King Co.
