New Delhi, Nov 25, 2007 : Saawariya is a flop, but according to trade analysts the movie had already recovered 50% of its cost before its release. The total cost of the film was 40 crores. Apart from that the producers raked in around Rs 22 crore from launching film merchandise and marketing deals alone. With these figures in mind, it seems that the concept of a flop film no longer exists in B’wood, as the cost of the film is recovered within the first week of its release.
