U.S. President George W. Bush addressed Israel's Parliament on Thursday (May 15) on issues from US-Israeli relations to Iran's nuclear ambitions. Speaking ahead of Bush, Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert said the world's largest threat was Iran. "The most severe source of threat currently to the stability of the the Middle East and to the world peace is, as you know, Iran", Olmert said. Addressing the parliament session after receiving a standing ovation, Bush said that letting Tehran acquire atomic arms would be "an unforgivable betrayal of future generations". "Permitting the world's leading sponsor of terror to possess the world's deadliest weapon would be an unforgivable betrayal of future generations.
