Yangon, May 26, 2008 : Philippine medical team left May 26 to join relief efforts in Myanmar, three days after the junta agreed to admit foreign aid workers to areas devastated by Cyclone Nargis. Doctor and team leader Arnel Rivera said their arrival will not be too late, as a big percentage of those affected by the May 2 cyclone have yet to receive aid. The cyclone left 134,000 people dead or missing and another 2.4 million destitute.
