At least 45 people are dead after a pipeline they were siphoning fuel from caught fire on the outskirts of the Nigerian capital, Lagos. Rescue workers have uncovered three mass graves close to where the fire broke out. They believe thieves dug a hole in the ground to reach the pipeline. Blackened buckets and jerry cans litter an area of burned grassland, the size of a soccer pitch. (SOUNDBITE) Philip Daferiogho, Nigerian Red Cross Spokesman, saying (English): "So we gathered that at about 45 and 50 people were involved - they were burned down. When we got to the site we found out that they had been buried already - there are three mass graves of 40 dead already." People from the village of Abagbo say there was a leak coming from the state-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's pipeline. The Nigerian Red Cross believes the victims may have been trying to take advantage of it by scooping the fuel. Such accidents are common in Nigeria, which is Africa's top exporter...
