In an ongoing effort to bring IDF  troops back to peak performance following the botched Second Lebanon war, troops undergo frequent exercises in northern Israel to ensure they are ready to deal with any conflict that may unfurl. Along its northern border Israel faces two threats, that of Hizbullah and Syrian President Bashar Assad. In order to ensure that troops are well prepared, IDF battalions undergo frequent training exercises in the Golan Heights as well as training areas in southern Israel where they are trained to confront all possible scenarios whether Syria, Hizbullah in the north or Hamas in the south and terror organizations in the West Bank. 06/07/08
