Haridwar/ Varanasi, Nov 25, 2007 : Security has been beefed up in various pilgrimage cities in Uttar Pradesh, following serial blast, as Hindu’s celebrate their festivals and visit pilgrimages, defying terrorism. Security has been beefed up in the holy city of Haridwar, where pilgrims have turned up in large number. People also defied terrorism in northern Varanasi, where they flocked in thousands on the banks of river Ganges to celebrate Dev Diwali.
