Patna, June 26, 2008 : The United States has extended a grant of 3 million dollar aid for flood-affected areas in eastern India. The US Department of Agriculture or USDA would send the aid through an international NGO for providing emergency relief and rehabilitation. The amount would be utilized to provide aid to displaced and affected families in Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and northern Uttar Pradesh.
