Atlanta's own, "UEB" has been a major driving force on the music scene for quite some time. This five piece band features Marsha Dupree on vocals, Ron Dover on sax, North "Tunes" Woodall on guitar, Victor Choates on Bass, and Morris "Mo D" Drane on drums. The dynamics of the group allows them to offer a variety of music styles that have been enjoyed by many. Some of Uptown's major highlights include their performance with Theo Peoples, the former lead singer with the Temptations. Theo is best known for his blockbuster hits, This Is My Promise and Stay. Other performances include the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the Atlanta Montreaux Festival, Charlotte Jazz Festival and they were the opening act for National Recording Artist, Najee.
